Derryloran Parish - December 2019
Rev Canon RJN Porteus 867 62261
Canon WJA Dawson 867 37151
Looking back, we give thanks for our memorable Harvest Festival, with special mention of our preachers, Choir and organist, and the remarkable team of decorators! Well done, everyone!
Thanks are due also to the Archbishop for his 2-part Roadshow in our Hall on the theme of “Living well” in November – an inspiration to look afresh at our lives. Upon the announcement of his pending retirement in February next we wish to express our sincere gratitude for his sound, gracious and Godly leadership in the Diocese and beyond over the past 7 years. It was always our pleasure to welcome him on his visits to Derryloran. The rector shares a special date with him – their Ordination on 25th June 1975 – where have those years gone?!!
We are grateful also to all who made our Christmas Craft Fayre such a success by their attendance and support.
It’s hard to believe that we are rapidly approaching Christmas!
Our CHRISTMAS CAROL CREATION from Friday 29th November to Sunday 1st December is a visual reminder of that! The church will be open to the public for this fantastic display by local businesses on the theme of our Christmas Carols. The Festival officially finishes on Sunday 1st and is open to the public from 2pm to 6pm, with a Carol Celebration at 530pm and our monthly Healing Service at 7pm
